PERMISSIONS:
I don't anticipate it coming up very often, but because of Celes' Runic ability, she has the ability to absorb some spells (essentially negating their effect and giving her some more magical energy). Basically, the way it works is that when a spell is cast, Celes can use her sword to channel the energy into herself. Canonly it doesn't work against every spell, so if you don't want Celes to be able to absorb your character's magic, there's a handy permissions form right here for you to fill out:

AU History: An orphan from Archades, Celes joined the military at a young age, and in a matter of years, she managed to make a name for herself among the higher ranks. She always followed her orders obediently, and had a knack for magick, earning her a high-ranking position by the age of 18. Rumor has it that she’s well on her way to becoming a Judge, even.
Though the recent Archadian expansion into other nations’ territories has started leaving her uneasy and starting to question just what the purpose to all of it was. The strange reoccurring dreams didn't help her unease either; terrible dreams about the world falling to pieces, giant terrifying machines, and always that haunting laugh. She wasn't one to put much stock in the meaning of dreams, but it hung like a bad omen over her.
It didn’t take more than a few rumors about Celes’ loyalties for her to quickly fall from favor. Before long, she was stationed in Dalmasca, where her duty is to keep the peace, or, as she is starting to learn, enforce Imperial rule.
